LARGE FIRESTEELS FOR FOREST SCHOOL USE WITH CHILDREN
The Boonies Outdoor JUMBO Firesteel is a huge firesteel (117mm x 12.7mm rod) and its perfect for both forest school education, and ideal for survivalists too. The much thicker and longer ferro rod makes it easy to create huge showers of fire-lighting sparks. Its easier to hold and has a much larger striking area which means hands can be kept away from the floor (avoids scuffed knuckles for children) and allows for additional pressure to be added to the rod which leads to larger spark clusters and a greater chance of lighting a fire. Works in all weather conditions too!
The Boonies Outdoor Jumbo is supplied with a Boonies Pro Striker and highly visible orange handle so its easy to locate if dropped in an outdoor environment.
