The Boonies Outdoor XL High-Vis Firesteel is the number one choice for Forest Schools and outdoor education. Its extra-large ferro rod means that its not only easier to use, but it will last approximately twice as long as a standard army size firesteel. The rod itself has been made in such a way that it is slightly softer than other brands, meaning that less pressure is required to launch a shower of hot sparks making it an easier firesteel for youngsters to use, as well as less confident adults.
